Supplement to eNewsletter Sent Out Yesterday

Sent: December 28, 2010

Christmas was even busier than usual. Despite all the snow and ice, I had to travel from home to Cumming, GA to rescue two cats who were going to be sent to the pound in just two days.

Their owner had to leave the state to care for her grandparents and waited an extra day to give me time to get there. I couldn't go the first day she needed me because of a migraine. She had to go care for the grandparents, as they are the only family she has.

We were both crying as we put the kitties in the carrier. She was so grateful we could/would take them. She had asked every rescue in that area and everyone was full. One place said they would take them for $1000. She didn't have ANY money to give any place. She had only enough money to get to her grandparents and she wasn't sure she had enough for that.

So, we now have Ziggy and Zoe. Ziggy has an allergy, according to her vet, and doesn't have any hair on his backside all the way to the end of his tail. He has the biggest eyes I have ever seen on a cat. He is gorgeous except for the hair, and I am confident we can fix that. I will take him to our vet in Albertville to be checked out. Zoe is a Ragdoll and absolutely beautiful. Both are already neutered and spayed and won't need shots until March. Ziggy is 2 yrs, 9 months old and Zoe is 1 yr 8 months as of December 8, so she is really a baby to me. I already love them both.

PLEASE--IF ANYONE CAN HELP WITH MONEY FOR ZIGGY'S VISIT TO OUR VET AND THE TREATMENT I AM SURE HE WILL NEED, IT WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

IF YOU SEND A DONATION ON-LINE, PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK THE "PERSONAL" AND "GIFT" SECTION OF PAYPAL SO THAT WE GET THE ENTIRE AMOUNT.
